Lithium disilicate ceramic: Self-etch and etch and rinse silane bond strength systematic review
Review Question
Do surface treatments with self-etching silanes show a better adhesion comparing to the treatment with hydrofluoric acid and conventional silane?
Study Type Included
We will include randomized and non-randomized studies that compares the clinical performance of self-etch silane with the treatment with hydrofluoric acid and conventional silane. Reviews, clinical cases, case report, duplicate studies and articles that were published after 01/27/2021, will be excluded.
Condition Being Studied
This systematic review and meta-analysis will evaluate studies on the application of self-adhesive silanes comparing them with conditioning with hydrofluoric acid and conventional silane, in lithium disilicate ceramics, applied for dental prosthesis.
Participant
Inclusion: Lithium disilicate ceramic Exclusion: Case series, clinical cases, reviews, direct restorations with composite resin and other ceramics.

Intervention
Inclusion: Surface treatment with self-etching silane in lithium disilicate ceramic Exclusion: Other places and treatments associated with adhesives and/or self-adhesive cements will not be included.
Comparator Control
Surface treatment with hydrofluoric acid and conventional silane
