Review Question
What is the efficacy of inosine pranobex in non-HIV and non-tumor clinical applications?
Study Type Included
Preferably randomized clinical trials with application of Inosine pranobex in different diseases. Data should be analyzable, and published in English.
Condition Being Studied
Literature data concerning studies related to clinical applications of Inosine pranobex in patients with the non-HIV and non-tumor diseases, including human papillomavirus (HPV, genital warts), herpes simplex virus (HSV), influenza, zoster, respiratory tract viral infections, recurrent infections, measles, hepatitis, chronic fatigue, poststroke infection, subacute sclerosing panencephalitis (SSPE), amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, multiple sclerosis, alopecia areata/totalis, hearing loss will be comprehensively analyzed.
Participant
Inclusion: Patients with corresponding diseases in point 18. Exclusion: HIV or cancer patients, pregnancy. Other criteria are listed in each different study.

Intervention
Inclusion criteria: 1) randomized controlled trial concerning the clinical application of inosine pranobex; 2) with clear description of disease diagnosis and determination of efficacy; 3) with follow-up information; 4) with a Jadad score of at least 2. Exclusion criteria: HIV related, cancer related, patients with alcoolihc or drug abuse.
Comparator Control
Placebo group, conventional treatment group, or a non-exposed control group. Inclusion and exclusion criteria could be found in above.
Main Outcome
The efficacy of inosine pranobex in the treatment of different human diseases or clinical applications. Measures of effect 1) During treatment or observation period after treatment, 2) Complete cure and/or remission of diseases, laboratory analysis

Additional Outcome
Secondary outcomes included treatment methods and schedules, and adverse events. Measures of effect 1) During treatment or observation period after treatment
