Title
Indoleamine 2, 3 dioxygenase (IDO) inhibitors as mono or combination therapy in cancer patients: A systematic review and Meta-analysis
Review Question
The purpose of the present review and meta-analysis is to systematically investigate indole amine 2, 3 dioxygenase (IDO) inhibitors as mono or combination therapy in solid tumor patients. The specific objectives are as follows: 1) To identify studies investigating indole amine 2, 3 dioxygenase (IDO) inhibitors as mono or combination therapy in solid tumors and their adverse events 2) To compare eligible studies on key study characteristics. 3) To extract relevant data from the studies identified during the systematic review process. 4) To evaluate the included studies through a study quality assessment. 5) To subject the extracted data to meta-analysis using a random effects model. 6) To explore possible causes of heterogeneity (I²>0) using subgroup analyses and meta-regression and test the robustness of the results using sensitivity analyses. 7) To discuss possible methodological limitations in the included studies and the present systematic review and meta-analysis. 8) To discuss the clinical implications of the results.
Study Type Included
We will include randomised clinical trials to assess the beneficial effects of the treatment and harms.
