Review Question
The purpose of this quantitative study was to collect high-quality evidence of the efficacy and safety of indigo naturalis and compound indigo naturalis for the treatment of psoriasis to promote its clinical application.
Study Type Included
Randomized control trials will be included to assess the effect of Curcuminoids in the treatment of psoriasis.
Condition Being Studied
Psoriasis; Indigo naturalis and compound indigo naturalis in the treatment of Psoriasis
Participant
(1) patients presenting specific diagnostic criteria of psoriasis regardless of age, gender, or ethnicity; (2) randomized controlled trials (RCTs), no limits on the way to randomization generation, blinding or publishing language. (3) interventional therapies were indigo naturalis or compound indigo naturalis; control therapies were included blank, placebo, and western medicine, which was neither indigo naturalis or compound indigo naturalis.

Intervention
Intervention included indigo naturalis or compound indigo naturalis, no limit to dosage form, frequency and dosage. And intervention could be Comparators plus indigo naturalis or compound indigo naturalis.
Comparator Control
Control included blank, placebo, Western medicine, lifestyle intervention and exercise without indigo naturalis nor compound indigo naturalis.
Main Outcome
The primary outcome was the PASI score. Serious adverse events. Measures of effect PASI score is a quantitative rating score that measures the severity of psoriatic lesions based on area coverage and plaque appearance including scaling, infiltration, and erythema.
Outcome Measure
Additional Outcome
The secondary outcomes included efficiency, dermatology life quality index(DLQI), visual analog scale (VAS) scores for intensity of itching, recurrence rate, serum cytokines level, and safety.
