Title
Efficacy and safety of Polyethylene glycol electrolytes powder combined with Lactulose on intestinal preparation in elderly patients with constipation by colonoscopy:a meta analysis
Review Question
The aim of this meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Polyethylene glycol electrolytes powder combined with Lactulose on intestinal preparation in elderly patients with constipation by colonoscopy.
Study Type Included
Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) will be included.
Condition Being Studied
With the gradual aging of society, the proportion of elderly people undergoing colonoscopy has increased year by year. However, due to the deterioration of the body and the underlying diseases, the elderly are often unable to drink water as required within the specified time to complete the intestinal preparation, and the elderly have intestinal tracts. The peristaltic function of the tract is significantly reduced. Even if the intestinal preparation is completed within the specified time, the cleanliness of the intestines often fails to meet the requirements. Increase the risk of complications such as intestinal perforation.
Participant
Inclusion criteria:(1) Research type: RCT to study the clinical efficacy and adverse reactions of polyglycol electrolyte powder combined with Lactulose in bowel preparation;(2) Research subjects: Elderly patients with constipation who need to undergo electronic colonoscopy or treatment for bowel preparation;(3)Intervention measures: The intervention measures of the observation group included polyethylene glycol electrolyte powder combined with Lactulose; the intervention measures of the control group were polyethylene glycol electrolyte powder. On this basis, the two groups of studies in which the same interventions were given at the same time can also be included;(4)Outcome indicators: There are clear outcome indicators, such as the effective rate of intestinal cleansing, the incidence of adverse reactions, and the detection rate of intestinal diseases. The incidence of adverse reactions includes the incidence of total adverse reactions and nausea, vomiting, abdominal distension, abdominal pain, hunger, dizziness, and fatigueetc. Incidence rate. Exclusion criteria:(1)Does not meet the inclusion criteria;(2)Randomized controlled trials of incomplete literature data, repeated publications, and non-clinical studies;(3)Non-Chinese and English literature.
