- Condition Being Studied
- Ovarian endometriomas as found in female patients with Stage III and IV endometriosis. Specifically their effect on fertility and assisted reproductive technologies.
- Participant
- Inclusion: (a) females of reproductive age (b) with unilateral or bilateral ovarian endometriomas (c) who are undergo ART (IVF or ICSI or IMSI) to conceive Exclusion: (a) overlapping populations, if this occurred the study with the larger population was selected, (b) populations less than 10

- Inclusion: (a) sclerotherapy procedure for ovarian endometrioma before ART (b) ethanol as the instillation agent (c) comparisons to any other pre-ART interventions or controls Exclusion: (a) other sclerosants ex: methotrexate (b) grouping of EST with aspiration as a single intervention
- Comparator Control
- Ethanol sclerotherapy will be looked at as the sole intervention, comparisons will be made between different instillation times and time between EST and ovarian stimulation.
- Main Outcome
- Pregnancy outcome is the only necessary outcome measure. Measures of effect One of the following: Biochemical pregnancy rate, Cumulative biochemical pregnancy rate, Clinical pregnancy rate, Cumulative clinical pregnancy rate.

- Additional Outcome
- Will also be looking at IVF outcomes, recurrence rate and complication rates. Measures of effect Number of oocytes retrieved, number of good quality oocytes retrieved, fertilisation rate, number of embryos, number of good quality embryos, implantation rate, live birth rate, cumulative live birth rate, recurrence rate and complication rate.
