Prevention and Treatment of Urinary tract infection using D-mannose or its combinations with other non-antibiotic and antibiotic agents in non-pregnant women
Participant
Randomised Controlled Trials and Observational studies looking at non-pregnant women over 18 years of age who have used either D-mannose or its combinations with other non-antibiotic and antibiotic agents for prevention or treatment of UTIs versus placebo/ antibiotics or other non-antibiotic products Inclusion Criteria – • Non-pregnant women over 18 years of age, • Randomised Controlled Trials and Observational studies looking at the use of either D-mannose or its combination with other non-antibiotic and antibiotic agents for prevention or treatment of UTIs versus placebo or antibiotics or other non-antibiotic products • Studies looking at efficacy rates of these products: UTI rates and recurrence rates, severity of symptoms, QOL, treatment compliance and adverse effects Exclusion Criteria- • Pregnant women and children (less than 18 years) • Lab or animal-based research and study protocols • Studies where the results for an identifiable adult population of women is not specified
