- Condition Being Studied
- The active phase of labor represents a critical moment of the delivery, and an increase of duration is associated with fetal and maternal risks. Several methods have been used to reduce this period and include pharmacological and non pharmacological approaches. However, these methods could impact on fetal and maternal outcomes.

- Women with uncomplicated singleton pregnancies at term with vertex presentation.
