- Title
- A systematic review of the utility of amylase and lipase in diagnosing pancreas injury in abdominal trauma
- Review Question
- This review aims to answer the following questions: 1. Following trauma, when do the enzymes (amylase and lipase) rise? 2. How do the enzyme levels correlate with the CT findings? 3. Do the enzyme levels correlate with trauma to other organs? 4. Do the enzyme levels correlate with clinical outcomes? 5. Ultimately, how useful are amylase and lipase for clinical decision-making at the initial presentation with abdominal trauma?
