- Condition Being Studied
- Cardiovascular disease is a disease with complex etiology, in addition to common causes such as age, sex, family history, smoking, hypertension, diabetes, lipid metabolism disorders and so on, more and more new evidence shows that long-term exposure to metals may affect the immune system and lead to cardiovascular disease. Copper is an important metal element, and previous studies have shown that copper is involved in many balance mechanisms in vivo, including specific immunity, inflammation and oxidative stress.We aim to summarize the association between copper and cardiovascular disease risk through a comprehensive systematic review and meta-analysis.
