Patients with mandibular crowding of minimum 6 mm
Participant
Inclusion criteria: Medically healthy patients undergoing fixed orthodontic treatment for malocclusion Aged 12-25 Skeletal and dental Class I malocclusion Complete permanent dentition (except third molars) No previous orthodontic treatment Anterior mandibular crowding of minimum 6 mm according to Little’s Irregularity Index (LII) Exclusion criteria: Cleft lip and/or palate, Craniofacial anomalies, syndromes or diseases affecting bone metabolism or teeth, agenesis of teeth, missing first molars Treatment plan including extractions Bridges or implants History of periodontal disease Intake of drugs affecting tooth movement and/or bone metabolism Pregnancy
