What is the impact on the lipid levels of patients who consume yerba mate (Ilex paraguariensis)?
Study Type Included
(1) Experimental or observational studies developed in humans; (2) In the case of experimental or observational studies with a cohort design, studies that reported lipid values at baseline and at the end of follow-up, both in the yerba mate arm and in the control arm, were included. On the other hand, in the case of studies with cross-sectional or case-control designs, they were included when lipid values were reported in the groups with different levels of yerba mate consumption.
