- Inclusion criteria: Adults over the age of 18 with a diagnosis of type 2 diabetes with or without obesity. Exclusion criteria: Adults with type 1 diabetes, pediatric patients, patients with metabolic syndrome, gestational diabetes.

- Intervention: Cinnamon consumption or supplementation, or Chromium consumption or supplementation with or without medication related to type 2 diabetes mellitus.

- Placebo or treatment with or without active medications, such as insulin, oral hypoglycaemic agents.
- Main Outcome
- Postprandial blood glucose, serum insulin, HOMA-IR, glycated haemoglobin A1c , fasting blood glucose, fasting blood sugar, advanced glycation end products (AGE), insulin sensitivity and insulin resistance, total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein, high-density lipoprotein and triglycerides. Measures of effect More than four weeks of consumption and / or supplementation.
