- Study Type Included
- Type of Study: Clinical Study Inclusion: Study/ Articles which has reported the role of SphK1 and has detected SphK1 activity by using detection method like PCR, Chromatography, Western blot, IHC, Northern Blot. Study which has detected SphK1 activity by using required samples (like blood or tumor sample) from Hematological malignancy and healthy volunteer participants or donor. Exclusion: Cell Line Study, Insilico Study, Animal Study
- Condition Being Studied
- SphK1 enzyme is a well-recognized bioactive lipid kinase and its contribution in disease pathogenesis has been well studied in neurodegenerative disease, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and cancer including Hematological cancer. Upregulation of SphK1 associates with poor survival of patients has also been informed in many cancers including hematological cancer, breast cancer, glioblastoma, gastric cancer, head and neck cancer, colorectal cancer, thyroid cancer etc. Furthermore, many pre-clinical and clinical studies has evident that over expression of SphK1 is one of the causes for chemo resistance in many cancer including hematological malignancy. In fact, due to its expression, it activates many signaling molecules or proteins which ultimately participate in oncogenic event such as cell proliferation, differentiation, anti-apoptosis, autophagy and angiogenesis. Therefore, we aim to do systematic review and meta-analysis to review the association of SphK1 in Hematological malignancy.

- Inclusion Participants- Only Hematological Malignancy patients( Hodgkin, Non Hodgkin Lymphoma, Acute Myeloid Leukemia, Chronic Myeloid Leukemia, Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and Multiple Myeloma patient's only) Exclusion Participants- Patient with other type of cancer than Hematological malignancy, any neurodegenerative patient, any infectious disease etc. will be excluded, patient having hematological malignacy but also have other disease alongwith it i.e patient having co-morbidity.

- Exposure- SphK1(Sphingosine kinase 1) SphK1 enzyme is a bioactive lipid kinase and has gained recognition over the last few years due to its crucial function in many diseases including Hematological Malignancy. SphK1 is localized in the cytoplasm of a cell. This enzyme generates S1P signaling molecule and activates different biological actions by binding to G-protein couple receptors (S1PR1-5) and thereby leads to activation of various down streaming signaling molecules/ pathways which contributes to different biological processes such as cell growth, inflammation, anti apoptosis, autophagy etc. Thus, expression of SphK1 leads to occurrence of diseases. Inclusion criteria- Role of SphK1 in Hematological Malignancy Exclusion criteria- Role of any gene/protein/enzyme other than SphK1 in Hematological malignancy will be excluded, Role of SphK1 in any cancer or disease will be excluded other than role of SphK1 in Hematological malignancy .
- Comparator Control
- Control- Healthy Participants Inclusion- Hematological malignancy patient will be compared with healthy participants(Person with no disease) Exclusion- Person with any disease will not be in control group.
- Main Outcome
- Primary Outcome: Expression of SphK1 in Hematological Patient SphK1 activity will be measured using detection methods such as PCR, Chromatography, IHC, Western Blot, Northern Blot and Southern Blot. SphK1 activity should be checked in both Hematological malignancy group and Control group.
