Title
Epidemiology and resistance mechanism of azole-resistant Aspergillus fumigatus in sub-Saharan Africa: systematic review
Review Question
What is the prevalence and bio-molecular mechanism of azole-resistant Aspergillus fumigatus (A. fumigatus) in sub-Saharan Africa?
Study Type Included
No restrictions will be imposed about the type of study.
Condition Being Studied
Environmental and/or clinical epidemiology of azole-resistant Aspergillus fumigatus in sub-Saharan Africa.
Participant
We will include any study reporting the epidemiology of environmental and/or Aspergillus fumigatus strains resistant to azole in sub-Saharan Africa.
Animal
Human Disease Modelled
Intervention
We will conduct a systematic review on the epidemiology of azole-resistant A. fumigatus in sub-Saharan Africa.
Comparator Control
None.
Main Outcome
The main research indicators of the review will be the environmental and/or clinical prevalence of azole-resistant Aspergillus fumigatus in sub-Saharan Africa. Measures of effect Prevalence of azole-resistant Aspergillus fumigatus in sub-Saharan Africa
Outcome Measure
Additional Outcome
The underlying bio-molecular mechanism of this resistant Aspergillus fumigatus strains will be also investigated. Measures of effect cyp51A gene mutations
