本品为不规则的段,长约15mm。表面黑褐色。花冠多脱落,宿萼钟状,先端5齿裂,黑褐色。小坚果棕黑色。具焦香气,味苦而辛。

炮制
取荆芥穗段,照炒炭法(通则0213)炒至表面黑褐色,内部焦黄色,喷淋清水少许,熄灭火星,取出,晾干。
贮藏
置阴凉干燥处。
鉴别
外果皮细胞表面观多角形,壁黏液化,胞腔含棕色物。内果皮石细胞淡棕色,垂周壁深波状弯曲,密具纹孔。纤维成束。
浸出物
照醇溶性浸出物测定法(通则2201)项下的热浸法测定,用70%乙醇作溶剂,不得少于13.0%。
功能与主治
收涩止血。用于便血,崩漏,产后血晕。
性味与归经
辛、涩,微温。归肺、肝经。
用法与用量
