性状
本品为类圆形或椭圆形厚片，外表皮淡棕色，切面黄色，角质。味淡，微有麻舌感。
检查

注意
孕妇慎用；生品内服宜慎。
炮制
生白附子 除去杂质。
贮藏
置通风干燥处，防蛀。
鉴别
（1）粉末黄棕色。糊化淀粉粒团块类白色。草酸钙针晶成束或散在，针晶长约至97（136）μm，螺纹导管、环纹导管直径9～45μm。 （2）同药材〔鉴别〕（2）。
浸出物
照醇溶性浸出物测定法（通则2201）项下的热浸法测定，用稀乙醇作溶剂，不得少于15.0%。
功能与主治
祛风痰，定惊搐，解毒散结，止痛。用于中风痰壅，口眼㖞斜，语言謇涩，惊风癫痫，破伤风，痰厥头痛，偏正头痛，瘰疬痰核，毒蛇咬伤。
性味与归经
辛，温；有毒。归胃、肝经。
用法与用量
3～6g。一般炮制后用，外用生品适量捣烂，熬膏或研末以酒调敷患处。
