本品根茎呈圆柱形,略弯曲,直径0.6~2cm,长3~10cm;表面灰棕色至黑褐色,具密集或疏而隆起的环节,节上有棕黑色叶基残存,有皱缩条纹和须状根痕。质坚实而脆,易折断。断面类白色或粉红色,略显粉质,部分断面有网状裂隙,近边缘处有点状维管束环列。气微,味苦、涩。
检查
水分 不得过12.5%(通则0832第二法)。 总灰分 不得过7.5%(通则2302)。
炮制
除去叶鞘和杂质,晒干。
贮藏
置阴凉干燥处。
鉴别
(1)本品根茎横切面:常有残存的表皮细胞,木栓层由10余列扁平细胞组成。形成层明显。维管束外韧型,外侧偶见中柱鞘纤维。韧皮部组织多皱缩,木质部以导管为主。髓部宽广。薄壁细胞含草酸钙簇晶、淀粉粒和棕色物。 粉末棕黄色。草酸钙簇晶较多,直径15~58μm。淀粉粒椭圆形或梨形,两端通常稍尖,直径3~10μm,长8~20μm,层纹和脐点不明显。导管多为网纹,直径13~35μm。表皮细胞红棕色,表面观呈多角形或类长方形。木栓细胞表面观呈多角形。 (2)取本品粉末0.2g,加甲醇20ml,超声处理40分钟,放冷,滤过,取滤液作为供试品溶液。另取岩白菜素对照品、熊果苷对照品,加甲醇制成每1ml各含0.2mg的混合溶液,作为对照品溶液。照薄层色谱法(通则0502)试验,吸取上述两种溶液各5μl,分别点于同一硅胶GF254薄层板上,以三氯甲烷-乙酸乙酯-甲醇(4∶4∶1.5)为展开剂,展开2次,取出,晾干,置紫外光灯(254nm)下检视。供试品色谱中,在与岩白菜素对照品色谱相应的位置上,显相同颜色的斑点;再喷以2%三氯化铁溶液-1%铁氰化钾溶液(1∶1)的混合溶液,供试品色谱中,在与岩白菜素对照品、熊果苷对照品色谱相应的位置上,显相同颜色的斑点。
浸出物
照醇溶性浸出物测定法(通则2201)项下的热浸法测定,用乙醇作溶剂,不得少于36.0%。
含量测定
照高效液相色谱法(通则0512)测定。 色谱条件与系统适用性试验 以十八烷基硅烷键合硅胶为填充剂;以甲醇-水(20∶80)为流动相;检测波长为275nm。理论板数按岩白菜素峰计算应不低于4500。 对照品溶液的制备 取岩白菜素对照品适量,精密称定,加80%甲醇制成每1ml含0.35mg的溶液,即得。 供试品溶液的制备 取本品粉末(过二号筛)0.2g,精密称定,置50ml量瓶中,加80%甲醇适量,超声处理(功率100W,频率25kHz)40分钟,放冷,加80%甲醇稀释至刻度,摇匀,滤过,取续滤液,即得。 测定法 分别精密吸取对照品溶液与供试品溶液各10μl,注入液相色谱仪,测定,即得。 本品按干燥品计算,含岩白菜素(C14H16O9)不得少于8.2%。 饮片

收敛止泻,止血止咳,舒筋活络。用于腹泻,痢疾,食欲不振,内外伤出血,肺结核咳嗽,气管炎咳嗽,风湿疼痛,跌打损伤。
