- NCI2016_CDISC_1602D:A benign neoplasm composed of epithelial and/or myoepithelial cells and a mesenchymal component.|NCI2016_02D:A neoplasm characterized by the presence of benign epithelial and myoepithelial cells and a mesenchymal component that may contain mucoid, myxoid, cartilaginous, or osseous areas. It may be completely or partially encapsulated. It occurs in the parotid gland, submandibular gland, minor salivary glands in the oral cavity, upper respiratory tract, and nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses. It usually presents as a slow growing painless mass. Infrequently, patients may present with pain and facial palsy. It may recur after excision or transform to a malignant neoplasm (carcinoma ex pleomorphic adenoma).|NCI2016_02D:A benign or malignant neoplasm that arises from the salivary glands. It is characterized by the presence of epithelial and mesenchymal elements. This category includes pleomorphic adenoma, carcinoma ex pleomorphic adenoma, and carcinosarcoma.|MSH2017_2016_08_12:A benign, slow-growing tumor, most commonly of the salivary gland, occurring as a small, painless, firm nodule, usually of the parotid gland, but also found in any major or accessory salivary gland anywhere in the oral cavity. It is most often seen in women in the fifth decade. Histologically, the tumor presents a variety of cells: cuboidal, columnar, and squamous cells, showing all forms of epithelial growth.
